The new peripheral road of Rhodes city connects the Port of Rhodes with the exit of the city towards the eastern and southern sides of the island. Due to its passage from the southern coastal front of the city, the new Marina and the shipyard, nodes were constructed in which traffic lights were installed and coordinated by appropriate software and vehicle detectors, while all crossings are equipped with buttons for immediate activation of pedestrian signals.
Electric street lighting is carried out with 9m piles located in the central jerseys, which have side lamps, while the traditional sidewalks have been fitted with white ceiling cement piles with “pagoda” type luminaries.
